As Judge Scholes has undertaken to do some of the work, I should grant Chief Justice Smale the partial vacation here asked for.
I should also be prepared when the opportunity comes to grant a like furlough to Mr. Scholes.
But how to alter habeas corpus so as to enable judges to avail themselves of the liberal vacation enjoyed by other Civil Servants I do not see, as long as their work is only this.
